This program will focus on "back to basics" and the need to use skills checklists to demontate competency in new graduates who do not have much in the way of real-life clinical skills. Lynette and Debbie will present their perspectives from academia and practice and follow with some questions to facilitate discussion. They will also share resources with the participants.
At the end of the program, the participant will identify at least one strategy to mitigate the potential skill deficit of a new graduate nurse whose clinical opportunities were curtailed as a result of the pandemic.
