By the end of the workshop particpants will describe key features, settings and best practices for using Zoom for professional development. Participation in Part 1 is not a pre-requisite for this program.
Objectives:
- Create and utilize Breakout Rooms.
- Screen share videos.
- Use polling for evaluations.
- Use appropriate settings.
- Discuss differences between using Zoom in meeting vs webinar modes.
Facilitator:
Dr. Galyen is Professor of Practice-Office of Instruction and Assessment, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, 2011 to present. Her focus is faculty development in areas such as Zoom Best Practices in Education, Collaborative Learning, Interactive Teaching Strategies, and Optimizing Teaching for Diverse Learners. She has published numerous articles and chapters, presented at conference workshop/sessions (research and evaluation, education and public outreach). Dr Galyen has received grants, awards and honors, including Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, University of Arizona.
